even for a young child about 6-7 years old, it was pretty easy to use. the hard part was filling the icing tube, which we put it into a plastic baggie first, cut off a corner, then lined it up and squeezed it into the tube that way. it is reccommended for ages 8+. so, I love the design, you put a cupcake into the cupcake cup, the cup goes into the base on the froster-gadget-thing, and you fill the frosting tube, then hook it up, then you push the lever down. it frosts the cupcake great, and...
