Bought a Cata oven 24 Dec 2010, which failed 26th Dec 2012. Bought a Cata oven & hob from B&Q on 27th Dec 2012, now one hob ring won't turn off, have to have a saucepan of water when using oven just to stop ring overheating. Bad service trying to repair it (engineer didn't turn up (0800Repair)). Looking at the other reviews, I shall be taking it back to B&Q (still have receipt) for a full refund. Advice: DO NOT BUY CATA PRODUCTS

UPDATE: Took oven & hob back to B&Q today who refunded in full. Their repair service, 0800repair, is no better though. Couldn't get engineer out when booked, couldn't identify problem, told parts would be ordered, 5-7 days delivery; 2 weeks later received call from repair company asking what parts do we need? Bad, just bad.

We bought a Cata induction hob and it has stopped working (after a year but within the 2 year guarantee period). They have agreed to send an engineer to fix it but, despite arranging an appointment a week in advance the engineer came when I was at work. I was then told by Cata's service centre that appointments could only be made between 8am and 6pm and that I would have to wait another week for another appointment!!! Totally and utterly hacked off with Cata - I wouldn't buy anything else from them
