“About the Epiphone Joe Perry Boneyard signature guitar: ”

★★★★☆

written by on 26/10/2010

About the Epiphone Joe Perry Boneyard signature guitar:
First of all a warning: this guitar needs strap-locks! As I was trying out my brand new guitar - bending over to make some adjustments on the amp, the strap loosened on both knobs simultaneously, and the guitar fell down and hit the channel-switch box. A little piece of the tigerstriped top layer broke loose (in fragments), and I had to glue it back on.
It doesn't show much - (perhaps it looks more rock'n roll now :o) - but the guitar's value was rapidly shrunken. No big disaster - as it is a keeper, but an unexpected and undesirable event I could have been without.

In the beginning I had some trouble with the jack input. I had to get it replaced with a new better type, and now it works as it should.
Well that was the negative things I had to say about it. Now to the positive: It is a great looking guitar, it also plays and sounds great. Good value for the money. It rocks, and I love it.

Essentially all you need to do to hear what this guitar will do is listen to any recent album by Shy (A Birmingham based rock band) Steve Harris, one of the country's most underrated guitarists plays this guitar exclusively on stage and most of the studio work is done on this through a Boss GT.
Great tone. Check out any number of You tube clips (Solo on Reflections, will say it all)
I want that guitar

Just about everything is excellent. Tuning knobs went bad after a couple of years but other than that, a sweet guitar.

The Les Paul Joe Perry Boneyard is one of the greatest guitars i've ever played. I own two other Epiphone Les Pauls (standard and studio), and four other Gibsons (sg standard, les paul studio, les paul supreme and xplorer), and none of them compare to this guitar right here. The burst buckers beat any of the others, and the finish on it is just beutiful. The neck is nice and smooth and is awesome for fast action. This IS the greatest guitar on earth.

I love this guitar! I've owned a lot of guitars and still have an '84 Strat but this guitar blows it away in the looks and power department. It plays and feels better than my mate's Gibson LP Standard. No regrets whatsoever and I'll be playing this baby for a long time to come. I can't give it a 10 because I believe a 10 should be reserved for the ultimate guitar. For the price this axe is a steal. Get one, play it and love it.

“The Epiphone signature guitar of Aerosmith's Joe Perry...”

★★★★★

written by Joe Autenrieth on 06/01/2006

The Epiphone signature guitar of Aerosmith's Joe Perry gives you a breath-taking instrument with genuine USA-made burstbuckers by Gibson.

The mahogany body with the nicely shaped neck. together with the burstbuckers 2 and 3, provide a classical Les Paul sound with brightness, warmth and resonance.

The mahagony/flame maple body with the striped tiger design and the boneyard logo, the black satin on the back, the Kluson type machine-heads and a toggle switch in orange make this guitar an eye-catcher.

Considering the quality, the sound and the craftmanship, it seems there is nothing more to wish for. Compared to my limited edition of the Les Paul Custom "Midnight" with EMG pick-ups this guitar provides more vintage feeling, but both guitars really rock - in different ways.
