Brill Energy were straight-forward to deal with and very prompt. The work was done to a high standard. We are pleased with the system, and glad that we also chose to have Immersun installed - when the solar electricity that we generate is not being used for other appliances, it heats the hot water in our cylinder via our immersion heater. We had two problems following the installation. These were not caused by Brill Energy, but their experience might have been able to anticipate the issues for us: 1) The TV aerial was over one of the panels, so that panel suffered from bird droppings. We had to get the aerial moved to the other side of the chimney and the panel cleaned. 2) Our immersion heater was old and the thermostat did not work properly, so water was initially heated to boiling point. We had to get a plumber in to fit a modern immersion heater which has a safer maximum temperature.

Scaffolders arrived the day before and erected the necessary scaffolding. Their efficiency was combined with pleasantness. The Brill energy installation team arrived the next day and had the work all completed by 3pm. Not only were they efficient and helpful but also had a sense of humour whilst carrying out their work. Both my wife and I are extremely pleased with the Brill Energy system, their backup support (in answering my many questions) and the no pressure sales policy they use. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone thinking about installing a PV system.

Brill came to refit 4 solar pv panels. They refitted them in a couple of hours, readjusted the existing panels. They were very helpful and even cleaned the panels. Excellent work

From first contacting Brill energy by email, to speaking with their sales person at my home to having the solar panels fitted I cannot praise the whole team highly enough. There has been no sales pressure at all and the service they offer is first class. Whenever I have needed to contact the company they have always answered my questions fully and have always returned calls and emails. The pricing for their product is very competitive and good quality materials are used. The fitting took 2 days and was professionally carried out. I have had the panels for 3 months and have already produced over 1000kw of power and I am on target to meet my predicted 3000kw for the year. Provided all the information I needed to make my decision but no hard sell. From the start and the conversations with the salesman, it was clear this was a professional company. He took time to explain all the technicalities; the installation process; how the financial returns worked. Under no pressure to make a decision he just helped us with the facts. Howard and team then agreed a convenient installation date. It all happen on the day. We were generating energy and heating our water by 4:00. So far Brills estimates of the electricity we will generate, used in the financial case, have been conservative. Plus piping hot water all day (we added the Emerson switch to our installation). No hesitation in recommending Brill Energy to install solar panels.

From start to finish they were very good . I had 2 quotes from them and they worked around what we wanted . The instillation team were VERY good start to finish only 5 hours. Would recommend them to friends and neighbours .

In this day and age, when interest rates are at a record low, it is useful to find something which you can put your money into which provides a reasonable return on investment. One solution is solar energy. For an outlay of about £6,000.00 it is possible to get a return on investment which beats most other returns available. I spent a long time researching which firms were any good, including looking at Review Centre, which seems to offer the best and most objective reviews on the internet. Brill Energy came off best by far in the reviews on this site. I eventually opted for a quote from Brill Energy, as well as a small local one-man band, and a large local plumbing firm. The result brought home to me how many cowboys there are operating in the solar energy field. The one-man band quoted me the highest price, and demanded 60% deposit up front. This I declined. He came back to me and offered 20% off if I signed up straight away, a ploy which is always best turned down. The plumbing firm sent a man to me who purported to be from the firm when in fact he was operating on his own, but in their name. I turned him down as well. Brill Energy came up with the cheapest quote, and seemed by far the most professional of the companies who quoted me. The installation was scheduled to take place over three days. The first day was the erection of scaffolding. The second day was the actual installation. The third day was the removal of the scaffolding. The first day was fine, the scaffolders turned up on time, and the scaffolding was put up. I was told that my Sky reception could be interrupted by the scaffolding. I asked the scaffolders to avoid this which they did. On the second day the installation took place. The installers turned up when they said they would and worked through the day. All panels were installed, and all equipment connected. The workmen were friendly and efficient. The electrician came back the next day as promised, and got the system fully working. Part of the installation comprised an Immersun, which provides power to the immersion heater when solar energy is not being used in the house for other purposes. This is a device which is fairly new on the market. It was installed efficiently and is functioning well. I recommend this as an addition to your solar energy system for free hot water throughout the day. There was some delay after the installation before the scaffolders dismantled the scaffolding, but we were finally clear by the fifth working day. The bureaucracy after the event is enormous and bewildering. Leon in the office was the man who helped me through this, providing helpful information and advice, which was all part of the excellent service. He found a local person to survey our house for an Energy Performance Certificate, and held my hand through the sometimes very technical (for me) form filling. All this has led to a successful conclusion, with our solar panels generating plenty of electricity and our electricity supplier (Co-operative Energy) informing me that our application form for our Feed In Tariff has been correctly filled in (no mean feat!). The downside, if any, is the software for the Owl device, which is supposed to tell me how much energy has been generated. The Owl can be plugged into my computer in order to maintain historical records of my electricity generation. The software is terrible – very difficult to work; a spreadsheet could provide more information. However, the driver is the worst part of the system. It caused my computer to suffer a ‘blue screen’, at start-up, the morning after I had installed it. It has now been unceremoniously uninstalled, and I will put the details of my system’s output in a spreadsheet. The Owl itself is an excellent device which functions without software, showing me wirelessly how much electricity is being produced from minute to minute. I have no hesitation in recommending Brill Energy, who are head and shoulders above the rest of the energy firms I have come across. Their staff are consistently helpful and friendly, and their installation was faultless, and is working well. Their price quoted was the best price of any company, yet they have performed superbly.

In our dealings with Brill Energy they have been very efficient at all times. When the workmen arrived they arrived on time and were very clean and tidy. They worked very hard in bad conditions and were very courteous at all times. On occasions I have had to telephone in connection with the Feed-in-Tariff application form and the staff have all been very helpful in dealing with my queries. I would not hesitate in recommending Brill Energy for their friendliness and good workmanship.

I had done quite a lot of research over a couple of months before plumping for Brill energy. The surveyor was the only one to actually look into the loft to see what was there. They modified their quote as required as I wanted the latest technology. They were also up to £2000 cheaper than some others who just gave me a quote over the phone. The were very helpful and not at all pushy and gave their advice freely. I would recommend them without reservation. The system is working well and I can monitor the system on-line to see how its performing. They covered and implemented getting the EPC certificate, gave me full specs of all the equipment used, insurance, and guarantees. A very professional company and I thank Howard and all the crew for all the work done in very cold conditions.
