“When we remodelled our house 20 years ago we had the usual debate, Aga or Range? At that time range style cookers were few and far between. I had by chance been to Robey’s to look at wood burners and it was the first time I had seen a Lacanche. I was sold on it immediately. Twenty years on it hasn’t aged in terms of style and appearance, it still looks great. Lacanche cookers are well made and robust, the weight of the solid brass control knobs tell you that, and also practical. In addition the stainless steel top is easy to keep clean whatever you have been cooking. I would definitely buy another Lacanche although a larger model. In those 20 years I have one visit from an engineer to replace the control for the main oven."
