We bought a Lacanche Cluny cooker and it has been a waste of money. Faults include uneven heating in the ovens. The doors would not close tight after a couple of years of use. Lacanche said it was because the doors were heavy, i would describe it as due to poor design. Replacement hinges are £34 each and rollers are £20 each, that £100 to fix a problem that should not exist. The knobs on the front of the cooker get to hot to touch even with the door closing properly and the knobs regularly fall off and need a new spring.
DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE SUB STANDARD OVER PRICED BITS OF JUNK

Oh dear,
What a shame, we loved the feeling that these cookers seem to be made to last but seemed more efficient and versatile than Agas. We were concerned about doors that drop down and the seal inevitably decreases but were assured that they worked better as they have a heavy duty spring. I am sick of buying in built in obsolescence and want a cooker for life. Oh well I will continue to research,
Thank you,
Cathy Pope.
