I've been a drummer since xmas of 2005, which is around 6 or 7 years. I have tried many different sizes,tips and materials of sticks over this period, however i've always come back to the Vic Firth 5a's, these sticks are incredibly versatile, even though meant to be played in a jazz outfit, i use them heavily in an extreme rock/heavy metal outfit as a gigging drummer. these sticks i will admit aren't the best looking in the world (I prefer the physical appearance of Pro - Mark) however...
