“The Best Driving Instructor around...”

I don’t even know where to start! The best thing about the lessons is instructor himself! What can I say, the most patient and reliable person I have known. I have really enjoyed my lessons with Stu. He never gave up on me!! I did go for a few tests, but I finally passed all thanks to Stu! He makes sure you cover everything you need to know about driving, and lessons are good value for money!! The classes are of excellent standard, and when you attempt the practical test, you will understand how well the classes were planned, you will never be far away from what examiner expects from you. Yes, I did passed on the first attempt with only 2 minors. “Simply the BEST!”

I was taught by another driving school and failed my test twice, so I decided to try a new instructor, I am so glad that I did! I found learning to drive with Stewart very relaxing, he was able to get me to standard required very quickly. I have improved so much in such a short period of time, especially on dual carriageway and approaching a roundabout. 


I passed yesterday at Hornchurch and it felt great! I would definitely recommend learning to drive with Stewart, simply the best driving...

Excellent Driving Instructor, would Highly recommend. We have 5 children and have used many driving instructors and NONE of them have given the dedication that Stu gave to My Daughter, who happily passed her driving test at the 1st attempt. I just passed today at Hornchurch. What a great feeling. Still feels like a dream. All this was possible because of one FANTASTIC but patient man who had full faith and confidence in me. All credit goes to him, my lovely driving in-structure. I couldn't have done it if he didn't constantly encourage me and always believed in me and told me not to give up. I passed my test at Tilbury today all thanks to this man! He has got the patience of a saint and gave me the confidence to succeed. He has the experience, knowledge and training to get you to the level you need to be. I'm an extremely nervous and tense driver and he put me at ease every time. Fantastic driving instructor, always made me feel at ease. Gave me the confidence and motivation to keep on going even though I had a bad previous lesson. Stu is a great instructor who I can highly recommend - He is very chilled, calm and methodical. I always felt at ease during my lessons and his feedback at the end of lessons was constructive. He never overloaded me with information and always took time to explain a manouvere. Obviously everyone learns at a different pace but he predicted how many lessons I would need at the outset and was spot on. 1st time pass and 2 minors, can't ask for any more than that. I've just passed my driving test with only 4 minors at Hornchurch driving test centre. I took lessons from Stewart Smith who runs Stu's driving school. He is great in both his knowledge of the area and being responsive to all my questions and requests. E.g. I could ask for a customised lesson which would include a mock test, and say concentrate on roundabouts or country lanes. This way, it was easy to polish my skills in the most efficient way.
