“Top Man Dennis”

Dennis is a great instructor, always on time, his relaxed manner and ability to put you at ease is second to none. Dennis showed more excitement when I passed my test than I did and I was doing gambols ;). I would most certainly recommend ignition and Dennis to any future learner. I would like to say that Dennis is an excellent instructor, with a lot of patient, he will teach you the things to be understood in a most simplest and easiest way. He will come to the hour absolutely on time, and he will be nice and relax. He will give you realistic feedback where you are with your driving and how much more you need to do to pass the test. I was really looking forward to my first driving lesson as many of my friends had taken and passed their tests. Steve (my driving instructor) was great. He was clearly passionate about his job and loved what he was doing and he made learning to drive good fun. He has a very proactive approach, with you driving on your first lesson which I did not expect! I had a very fun experience with the Ignition. My driving instructor was very helpful, understandable and listent to me at all times to enusure he could help me with any areas which I was unsure about. I have never driving before and believe that learning to drive with Ignitiors has made me much confident when driving. “Driving with Steve!”

I have really enjoyed learning to drive with Steve from Ignition Driving School, he is very finnicky when it comes down to driving standards, which I believe is the key skill to help any student that struggles in any area. Although there was sometimes difficulties with arranging times, Jayne was very patient in teaching and never got agitated in anything that I may have done wrong. She was willing to pick me up from both my school in Harrogate and my home in Leeds. She was able to teach me skills during bad weather conditions and have lessons at night, creating a sense of 'realistic driving' once I had passed my test. (read more)

I first started driving back in 2008 and had gone through two different driving instructors and had failed my practical test twice. To be more precise I hadn't touched a wheel from 2008 until I contacted Jayne in late September 2012 after she was recommended to me by my brother. “They come across as friendly but just want your money”

my instructor did not turn up on more than one occasion. he then promised me that I would get a free lessons for the inconvenience which never happened. on the day of my test he didn't show so i called the office to complain and they replied saying that they were going to call him and call me back. 30 mins later no call or instructor so I called ignition driving schools office again where they tried to say that it wasn't their problem and I should keep trying the instructor direct and again... Thank you for your comment. We do take these issues very seriously and have now dismissed the instructor in question.

Please understand that all driving instructors are self employed and we needed written proof from yourself for us to take the matter further. With your evidence we are currently chasing your refund through the legal system.

We are incredibly sorry that you have had this experience and we hope to have your refund soon.

I'm a driving instructor for Ignition. I apprieciate you had a bad experience with one of the instructor's but that does not make all of us driving instructor's like that. I'm personally alway's on~time for all of my pupil's and I also send them a text message the day before their lesson to remind them. I'm certainly not 'just after their money'. My lesson's often go over the 1 hour (and I do not spend this time just talking). I have an excellent pass rate and I regularly get other pupil's from recommendation's. I've been an instructor for almost 6 year's and i've been with Igniton for almost a year now. I've found Ignition to be an excellent company to work with and they are keen to help me at anytime of day. Ignition also send out voucher's to pupil's who recommend their friend's or family. How many other driving school's do that ? Robert.

I was extremely reluctant to learn to drive but Jayne, my instructor immediately made me feel safe and capable. There was a really friendly atmosphere and no shouting when I made mistakes! With each lesson I grew in confidence, becoming more comfortable in asking questions and knowing what to do. Instructions were always clear and lessons were conducted at my own pace which I feel is especially important for those that are wary! Upon turning 17, I was advised by a member of family to contact Jayne Sorrell from Ignition to begin my driving lessons. I am very happy I did so as Jayne was brilliant. I went with Ignition driving school following a recommendation from a friend, who specifically recommended Mark Cooper. I got in touch and he was able to fit me in straight away. The prices were really reasonable and he got me driving on my first lesson which I liked. I always felt comfortable and never felt rushed, but also felt like we progressed quickly. Even though I failed first time, Mark was really supportive and helped me re book and regain confidence for my next test. (read more)

I decided to go with Jayne (Harrogate & Leeds)due to her fantastic reviews and testimonies. She was super friendly, and catered every lesson to your needs. I had such fun learning with her, and she taught me to be a good driver. She built up my confidence really well and helped me focus on the things I was most unsure of so that when they did appear in my test I could do them without hesitation. Being in my late thirties, I never thought I would have the confidence to learn to drive...after trying to learn to drive with two other instructors, I came across Chris. From the outset he was patient, calming and filled me with the confidence to get on with the job in hand. I needed a few lessons to get me up to test standard, having done extensive private practice. Dennis took me out in my own car, and quickly assessed what my weaknesses were. He stopped me from worrying about the test, as I had been, and targeted the things I needed to know - no time was wasted on teaching me things I could already do, as I had found with a previous instructor. Learning to drive with (name removed) was a great experience, he was very helpful and was always on the end of the phone if I had any questions or doubts. He always tried to work around my work comments where possible. His instruction enabled me to pass both my theory and practical tests first time in just over 2 months.
