After reading all of the Hunger Games books I was worried that the film would murder the complex dystopian plot, but overall it was a great adaptation which really captured the essence of the book.

Yes there are similarities with Battle Royale, but the characterisation and plot make the Hunger Games infinitely the better of the two. That said, having read the books, I was remembering elements of the inner monologue (from the book) as I watched the film - perhaps improving my experience. Never the less I would still give this 5 stars.

All-in-all an absolute must see!
