Dr Seuss, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish is a great book for kids to read. It shows kids how to rhyme, and that it isn't all that hard.

Item: Dr Seuss, Green Eggs and Ham
This is a fabulous book for children. Great fun to read, and great fun for children to listen to. It is quite repetitive which young children love, even before they can read they will be chanting this along with you. It is flowing and Poetic with lovely humour.

Although the cutting down of old-growth forests is a perennial theme, Dr Seuss's The Lorax, published 33 years ago, seems all too prophetic and topical right now. The book was only recently brought to my attention, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Seuss was such a witty and avid 'Greenie'.
