We recently had a new window built into our dining room by zenith. From the customer service team, to the surveyor and right through to the installer- we were extremely impressed. Our window is thermally efficient, lets a huge amount of light into our room and the product itself is fantastic. I don't normally give in to door to door salesmen but as it happened I was interested in getting a few quotes to replace our ageing soffits with hassle free PVC versions. The guy who knocked was obviously looking for leads and so I was called back fairly swiftly by someone from Zenith to arrange an appointment for a 'surveyor' to come round, measure up and provide a quote. I strongly agree with what this person writes. We also were looking for a genuine company and unfortunately fell for their sales tactics.We paid almost £4000 for a PVC installation which would have cost £500 at the most.Please be careful, do not have anything to do with this company.

We have taken some time in reading the reviews on how to go forward with getting the right company but with the massive mix of reviews it was impossible until we got some companies round. We didn't bother with the local companies because they seem to be there one day and gone the next!!!! I have had all my windows, soffitts, guttering, and a porch canopy done by Zenith, the quality of the work does depend on the fitter. Some are really great, some you can't get rid of quick enough. But overall I have no compliant with their work, but once they have your telephone number your life is never your own. I wholeheartedly agree 125% with the above review.
Once they've got your telephone number they WON'T LEAVE YOU ALONE. I've had the same rubbish about our house being in the last 36 and offering a discount when we have some extra work done - BUT they won't give me any information about folk in my area who have befitted as a result of their advertising board being outside my property!!!!!! Where is that £50 they said we would have as a result of someone in our area having work done by them??
Workmanship is good BUT their after-sales customer service - MINUS 100%. I would THOROUGHLY NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone NOT because of their workmanship BUT they're pestering nuisance phone calls!!

I told the salesman that all I wanted was a price and would give him an hour. However he insisted on giving the standard sales pitch which treated me a bit like an idiot. Eventually we got to the price which started at £14k for roofline products an eventually came down to £5.5k which was competitive. “A Warmer House With Zenith Windows.”

The company's marketing is based on lies and deceit. When the appointment was made I clearly stated we wanted it kept short and i was promised it would be no more than an hour to explain the promotion and if we were interested someone would come back to measure up. Had a visit last night and they were here for 2.5hrs when we were told the night before 30mins. Hard selling and "I have to keep to my pitch otherwise I will be in trouble" After an 1hr we said not interested in the show home offer and just wanted the quote we said we would get the night before. im now doing the training to be a slaesman for the company and ive been in the glass trade 7 years and this is the worst company iv ever incountered there product is great but the prices are rediculious i nearly had a hart attach when we were doing it, id recomend the window and glass but if u shop around u can find this anywhere they claim to be the only company with this product but its not true all they have done is give pilkingtons loads of money so they can re-name it for them selves its complete rubbish, im off home, i would not feel right giving my customer any of the prices there telling me to give. spread the word stay away from zenith

Got the most horrendous quote for two items. Salesman did very well until had to make obligatory phonecall to his boss in the office. Boss asked agent numerous questions as to why we wanted to get other quotes and compare. My husband got fed up of questions being asked through agent so asked for the phone to speak directly to the boss. Then selling became very pressurised. I made the terrible mistake of letting these people into my house. I then compounded the mistake by buying from them. I know it is my own fault but I really regret it. Harassed by them I gave in. The products is not great, really expensive and they won't leave me alone. 15 years ago while driving for a living and with early starts meaning having to go to bed early I was plagued by calls from Zenith Windows at all hours. Nothing I said or did would stop them & I vowed never to touch their products even if they were giving them away! The Zenith windows I had fitted were great BUT unfortunately the fitters completely wrecked the windows AND the new brickwork on our extension. Originally ordered in the March of 2012, finally completed in December 2012. The Home Company own (as I understand it) Zenith as well as 'Jobs Worth Doing' - a sister company that offer labour to fit windows (and other services). Zenith are not the cheapest by far but they are very high quality. If you invite one of us over expect it to take at least 2 hours and for us to offer you a great deal IF you sign on the day. This doesn't surprise me !!! The 'quality' of the windows I find very good HOWEVER, the numpties that are fitting them should take a step back and look at their work - horrendous. Zenith used to be a name I trusted. Just goes to show that even 'branded products' can be ruined by incompetence !!! Value for money?? Yes if you don't mind fitting or re-fitting the product AND you don't mind the damage they cause AND if they damage something that building control will query, then go ahead. One thing though, see you doctor for high blood pressure before the day of fitting then you will be prepared !!!

It sounds like you both had a very bad experience with the employees of Job Worth Doing that installed our windows for you. As an employee of Zenith I can only join the management of your local branch and apologise again on their behalf for falling below your expectations and our standards. Although it will come as little restoration for the stress you have felt, I wish you to know that the labourers will personally have suffered financial losses for their failure and Job Worth Joing LTD is similarly accountable for every bad fit that occurs.
I hope that the free re-fit you recieve will be of a sufficiently high quality so that you never again have the need to enact the 10 year warranty of our products.

Honourable by your apology, however your fitters are owned by the SAME mother company as you are. A free refit? Of course it is/was; spending the next year in litigation would be rather damaging for you. No matter what is said on this forum, Zenith Staybrite, Bowater Group or whoever you trade as know that eventually your customers will simply 'put up with' the product they have 'fitted' (and I use the word loosely, as were the windows at one point !). I had 12 visits from you - not through choice. If you check your records, it wouldn't be difficult for you to identify me. I am not happy with the installation even now BUT you are NOT touching them again unless they are faulty.
My intention is to simply make EVERYONE aware that this is NOT a witch hunt to damage Zenith - your product is 'ok' BUT you have a duty of care to ensure that every window is fitted properly. Anglian Windows, whilst not perfect, provide a far superior service. But again this is not a mud slinging match between Companies. I will re-iterate - the product is fine. Your fitters need either replacing or retraining. Manners cost nothing. Calling to say you will be late (by 4 hours !!) costs little. Oh ... and silicone sealant is not the answer to poor fitting, you might want to pass that little nugget of information to your service manager at JWD !!

after a rep came to my house free qoute and half his life story that i did'nt want to know finally after 4 hours he went .i refused in the end that i did'nt want the free estimate which turned out to be nearly 5 grand. I believe I had the same person at my house the quote for my flat roof was £12555! he only gave us the price after 4 hours of his total drivel. I had already investigated the product so i knew roughly the cost.Our roof is leaking so he said he could rush it through in 4 weeks.I have now got a price from a proper roofer supplying a better product with a 20 year manufacturers guarantee (firestone) supplyed and fitted within 2 days for £1500. somebody should have these zenith people shut down, I feel sorry for anyone who has work done by them.

I've just had a number of windows fitted by this company. The windows were more expensive than the other quotes I had obtained (a local builder and Safestyle) but the entertainment value alone from the salesman was worth the extra on its own. The salesman from Zenith Windows spent ages telling me how they were different from normal upvc windows in terms of how they attached to the walls and had built-in features to stop anyone forcing them from outside, but when they came to fit them they were nothing special - certainly not the same profile as the one the salesman bought with him and attached to the house with just long screws into the walls as any other window fitter would do. I had patio windows installed by zenith 2 years ago ,they were expensive and I was assured they were good quality .I'v had nothing but trouble with them since.They are draughty ,they dropped ,they sag in the middle slightly .the floor below them is now permanently damp and I'v had 3 visits from zenith maintenance men who just come out and re seal the ever appearing cracks with sealant . they even stuck it to my carpet ,but still it remains wet and draughty . The salesman who called told me he had previously sold "Wills" - a great basis for selling double glazing. His breath smelt and his shoulders had suffered from an avalanche. After measuring the existing doors the basic price quoted was over £12,000 - YES £12,000. My wife and I recently bought our first home and were aware that the ageing uPVC double glazed windows and sliding back door would need replacing at some point. When a rep from Zenith turned up at the door offering to arrange a 2 year fixed quote with their scrappage discounts we were naturally interested as we can't afford it immediately but thought the 2 year quote might suit us so booked an appointment. “Complete example of a Cowboy Company”

Salesman stayed and made a pest of himself for over 4 hours, they charged us £9000 for 36ft of guttering and fascias for our bungalow, they were here for 1day, left a load of mess and cigarette ends all over the place, two pieces were missing, I was told someone would be back in the next couple of days to finish off, I heard nothing for two weeks, when I phoned to ask why no-one knew it was not finished. Hi there, not sure if you will get this notification forwarded to you BUT may I suggest that you get in touch with the office of fair trading or similar body. I am not a 'legal' man but would think you have a good claim for a refund of AT LEAST 50% of that. Indeed £1000 would not be far from the mark. I have just fitted soffit, facia and guttering for approx 40ft of roofline for less than £300 (albeit DIY). I agree that a further £10 or so per foot for scaffold wouldn't be unreasonable (£400). On top of that a guesstimate of £300 - £500 in labour would give you a bill of around £1000 to £1200. I have no regard for the Zenith fitters (Jobs Worth Doing) - it is a real shame that their good name is being tarnished by such poor craftsmanship. Good luck if you decide to make a claim.

This company does not know the meaning of customer service and certainly the concept of 'time is money'. Harrassed by phone and unwilling to visit to quote on what is a major scheme. Judging by other reviews, thankfully it was their loss and not mine. Tried to give half a star ratin, but no function available to do so. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! (read more)

Had a rep from this company cold cal at the house offering double glazing etc. pointed out we already had doible glazing and a conservatory so he suggested fascias. It was my mums house and so she said ok as she was considering having them done anyway. Yhe man came back at three, and he didnt leave til gone ten, and that was only when I threatened to call the police. To say he was pushy would be an understatement. And It would have been longer if we hadn't stuck to our position of not making a decision right then and there! Every review on here about sales techniques, pressure selling, sales people not leaving.... IS TRUE!!! Even if they did come up with a good, competitive price I will not and never use this company following that sales call. I feel so set upon, if there is a follow up call I will be making a complaint to ofcom too! We are off to drink a strong alcoholic drink. (read more)

We needed all windows replaced but in order to keep costs down we didn't want doors as well. The salesman was polite and went through his sales pitch, but at no time did he try to pressurise us to buy doors or anything else we couldn't afford. He initially came up with a ridiculous quote but we played the game, and after short negotiations came to a quote we were happy with.
