I received a call from "Energy Care Centre" about a glass scrappage scheme which would give me big discounts on a replacement front door and three windows. I asked them to call back three days later when I had returned from a trip away.
They called back as St Helens Glass and the salesman tried to tell me that they would give me big discounts on their products. I told him that I prefer to know the proper price and that I don't deal with firms that try to fool me with inflated prices and big discounts.
His reply: "You are a very rude person!"
My riposte: "Yes I am to people who try to fool me."
He put the phone down on me! How rude!

Hi we had the same call and a sales person came to my house with all the usual rubbish acting they do telling me I qualify for a huge discount if I am picked to let my house be a show house .... After we was lucky enough to qualify after answering a number of stupid questions .. She told me the price for 4 windows would be £7700 but if I ordered today it would be £3000 ... I told her I couldn't afford it so she said I could pay £70 over 120 months which is over £8000 ha ha I said no I don't want to get into debt she asked what I could afford n I said I really would have to think about it and work out my finances by this time I felt under pressure and i was getting stressed and I was going to tell her to leave but she put me on the phone to her boss he said could I afford £40 per month I said no n finally he listened . I'm an easy going person but I was getting annoyed that they were undermining my intelligence and trying to rip me off ..... The prices was up and down like Jo-Jo n the sales talk wouldn't of won any oscars ..... Keep well clear ....GP
