Do not use this company poor customer service. I had a conservatory built and had nothing but trouble, the tiled floor wasn't straight it leaked from the roof and windows and the lead strip what was to go on the top wasn't fitted and the guttering wasn't fitted properly it was straight so when it rained it wouldn't drain away and leaked in. I phone to complain nothing got done.

Halifax Windows have always had a great reputation...and older reviews were excellent... So I was really surprised at some of the poor reviews. Having visited the showroom I decided to go ahead. There was no hard sell and my new wood grain windows were measured and have now been installed. They also have repaired a broken door mechanism. I am delighted and the small snags were properly addressed by her team. I can highly recommend HALIFAX WINDOWS lovely family and their fitters were tidy, polite, professional and arrived on time. Very happy will be recommending them to friends.

Absolutely terrible, front and back doors both leak not interested sent a technician who made it worse and now their saying the company went in to liquidation in March and now a different company so can't see when we purchased the doors so won't do anything! What a joke as they sent out 3 technicians but now won't do anything! Avoid this company their customer service is disgusting and they use substandard doors and windows that either leak or break after a year!

Had two doors fitted and Windows, front door leaked took 10 calls to resolve and multiple visits now back doors leaking and again took multiple visits to fix after one of the technisions did so enticing wrong! They came again and now I need to pay for something that was damaged by person that was meant to fix it! Apparently they get no complaints so you can't talk to someone over the phone you've to put it in writing! Absolutely disgusting and I will never use you again or recommend you to anyone!

We asked Halifax Trade Windows Ltd to fit doors & windows at our property. We now find the company has gone into liquidation & has reopened as Halifax Windows Ltd, with the same office staff but a different director. Our 15 year guarantee is invalid. We cannot recommend this company. Communication has been terrible. Appointments & promises are not kept & the office staff need a lesson in customer service & good manners! The product was fitted satisfactorily apart from one window, where damage was caused to the render & the job is still not finished as specified. This has been going on since January.

This is my review of a Halifax trade Windows uk LTD. Now trading as Halifax Windows LTD. In as brief a way as possible stay away from this company. After 4 months, yes 4 months I had to have all the problems corrected by a different company.. (1) The Windows was originally measured wrong (2) The fitters are incompetent (3) They damaged the building/plus plants/garden (4) Extremely rude arrogant office staff. (5) Six fittings later the Windows still leaked (6) Used soffit board as cladding!!!!!! "Really" (7) No internal finishing on the inside of the Windows (8) Intimidated into handing the money over. (In cash) (We have to pay our window fitters you know) (9) More or less thrown out of the office for complaining. (10) Gone into liquidation again, previous companies can be checked at companies house. (11) 15 year written guarantee means absolutely didly squat, but excellent for plugging the draft around the Windows.. (12) Be careful of the A team turning up to correct other people's work within the company. (This is what they called themselves) I will leave it up to yourselves who have read this review what the A really means, needles to say so my review can be published another name for backside/hole

First the new door didn't fit, back at least 5 times still doesn't operate correct. Decided I would have a triple glazed window in the bedroom this wasn't fitted correct more noise and wind than from the old unit waste of money, the fitters are bad and so is the company. if you want to waste your money on new doors and windows from a local firm......ring them

This door leaked water in from the first hint of rain they got the door supplies out and the stopped it from leaking but left silicone sealer all over it what a mess all on the handle letterbox mouldings etc contacted Halifax trade Windows and they just kept fobbing me off I will ring you back etc then after pushing them a bit more they got the door supplier to ring me I told him about all the mess and he said he would sort it that was 3 weeks ago so I found out who they were (panels direct in kiethley) and rang them but they didn't want to no saying that the company was trading under a different name (Halifax Windows) at the same address I've had enough of them so my warning is stay well clear and look else were what a disgrace!

This has been the first time I have used Halifax Trade Windows and had 2 composite doors and 1 window fitted on the 27th april 2015. I am really happy with them , they look just how they did in the brochure and the staff were really friendly and polite towards me and my husband. Brian dealt with our order and was always in the office when we wanted to change styles etc.. They told me upon survey how busy they were as it must be their peak time with summer coming up but still made sure they accommodated to the urgency of our products as my husband was due in for an operation and we needed them before he went into hospital. I hope the owner sees my message, as all his staff and his manufacturers have done a good job at looking after us.

I had a door fitted from them this morning, the fitters friendly and the office staff really nice to talk too. Me & my wife have brought in some flowers for the girls in the office as they were a pleasure to talk to and kept us informed throughout the whole process. He has done a great job at taking his company forwards since the death of his brother Mark.

I am writing with pleasure that I purchased 2 doors for my 91 year old mothers house. I was recommended to them by a police officer friend who is part of West Yorkshire Policing Team. After years of break ins and police bothering my mother she was 'attempted' to be broke into again after raising her alarm . Thanks to Halifax trade windows high security locks and locking systems we beat the burglars who left their finger prints all over the handle by the way.. didn't stand a chance. Thanks to all the team highly satisfied and would recommend to all those persons who can often worry about elderly parents living on their own.

I recently purchased my windows from Halifax trade windows. It was a large job (full house) and the job was completed efficiently and to a high standard. There was a brief delay between the fitter taking measurements and installing but nothing out of the ordinary. the staff were friendly and professional, would recommend.

Halifax Trade Windows are without doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is appalling and when things go wrong they simply lie their way out to avoid getting the job sorted. They should be avoided at all costs. We purchased a porch and both front doors from them and our grief started when the glazing on the external door failed and misted over. We were promised a complete door replacement but it took nearly six months and five failed installation dates before the issue was finally resolved – and even then it was not HTW who resolved it, but one of their suppliers. We were repeatedly promised installation of the new door between April and September of this year but on each occasion there was a different excuse for why they failed to keep their promises. When the owner of the company, finally got involved we believed things would now get sorted as he blamed poor communication from his staff for the previous problems. Things actually got worse with his involvement; finally reaching the point where neither he nor his staff would answer their phones, texts or emails sent. We were even accused of being malicious toward them in complaining to the receptionist! Eventually the supply and installation of the door was handed over to a third party as HTW were clearly incapable of completing the job or communicating in a reasonable manner to me. The company structure is clearly unable to deal with customer complaints and problems which inevitably occur. Neither staff nor management answer communications in a reasonable timescale – leaving the customer to call repeatedly and chase what is going on. BEWARE!

Halifax Trade Windows I was given a date over the phone for fitting my window (after chasing up) but then on a letter that came, this was a different date with no explanation. I queried this and if it would be am or pm. I was told if i phoned the day before i would be told whether am or pm. I did this and someone said they would get back to me. They did not so i chased again at the end of day. I was then told someone would ring me in the morning. Once again this did not happen. They came in the afternoon. The men did a good job and the window seems good so far however they did leave a mess in my plant trough below the window which i had to remove. They were quick to ask for payment there and then before they left. I have no problem with this, just a shame they are not so efficient when it comes to their own practices. I would use again as the main thing you are looking for when choosing a fitter is a decent window and in in spite of everything, they seem to have provided this.

I could not disagree more with this review. They were fab when i dealt with them, maybe its the luck of the draw sometimes, but if you was so upset why hand over payment?

Dont mind paying as they did a good job albeit a bit messy. Wouldn't not pay because of a sloppy admin system and a bit of mess, that would be ridiculous.

Haha must laugh at these spammers. This is obviously a rival company or an uneducated 'tricky' customer who has got happy with their fingers.
