Having had Evander appointed by my large insurance company due to my front door (terraced house) being kicked off its hinges i waited a week for an agent to come out to assess damage and measure up.(So much for emergency call out ). Whilst he appeared to know what he was doing and said all the right things i then recieved a phonecall fron the Carlisle office saying whatever the agent had agreed wasnt going to happen and they would be sending me via email a choice of doors available to me. On looking they were not the same as my damaged one and i believe to be a sub standard door. After much discussion with their Carlisle office i was backed into a corner and more or less told it was take it or leave it. I informed my insurance company who said they would look into my complaint and gave me £20 to cover cost of phonecalls i had made. Five weeks after the damage was done they turned up to fit the take it or leave it door and managed to put it on the wrong way round HONEST. I phoned their Carlisle office to be told as the agent was now back at base he wouldnt return until the Saturday some 5 days after it being fitted incorrectly. On returning said agent confirmed my suspicions that it was the wrong way around and he said that the door he had fitted wasnt the original one he had ordered for me some 5 weeks previous. He ordered another panel from a brochure he got from his van which i was happy with however when it came to be fitted 2 weeks later it was the take it or leave it panel they turned up with..I have since been inundated with phonecalls from Evanders customer care team as i have informed my insurance company that im very unhappy with the service and treatment recieved from Evander.
