Cold telephone call explained a quote would last 12 months and would benefit from grants if my existing windows were over 8 years old.
Salesman called yesterday and quoted £16,300 for 7 windows and front door, but only £7,100 if I signed up there and then. I explained that I would have the money following the sale of my deceased Mothers house in around 2 weeks. The sample window was then put back in it's bag, brochures gathered up and told "sorry, if not done today, can't be done". - He then left.
As he got into his car, I asked, "so if I ring Ecoseal in a months time and ask for the job to be done I will be refused?" - "Yes, he replied, you can try, but I don't think you'll have any luck".
Can someone please explain to me the logic of this type of sales technique?
