It's a minefield out there and I had sworn that I would not deal with any more pushy salesmen. First you get the opening gambit which is usually their margin+++++ then if you don't bite it is a concessionary discount, until finally they are opening a showroom in the area and you can be a show house. I got one guy down from £12k to £1.5k by which time I did not trust himat all so did not sign. Imagine my surprise when the first thing the guy from Crystal said was we don't do pushy salesmen, cut a long story short we did the deal on the phone. He promised me his best price and I got it ! which was considerably lower than expected. I explained that I had my own business and that time was tight, let me just say they were more than accommodating. The scaffolders turned up on time and very polite. The fitters all turned up on time on the second day I felt so confident that I gave them a key and went into work. The job is great and finished on time! The double glazing looks fantastic and the doors are outstanding
