I recently had three windows installed by Carrington, and I was most impressed by the fitters - [names removed] - who did the job. They were friendly and helpful, doing several extra jobs tha were not part of their remit: eg: putting the window blinds back up, etc. They worked hard (didn't even stop for a meal) and cleaned up at the end of each day, taking the scrap away with them. We recently replaced all our windows; seven windows plus a three section bay. The quotation process was utterly transparent. John, the sales rep, measured the windows then got out his book of tables and priced each one individually. There was no heavy sales pitch. This was in total contrast to the rep from Anglian who plucked a number out of thin air, halved it, offered to knock £1000 off if we signed up there and then.....and still ended up with a figure 30% higher than Carrington quoted.... Overall we are very pleased with our new doors, soffits etc so we have just ordered new windows, The fitters worked very hard and were very polite. We were under no pressure to purchase unlike other companies who spent far too much time trying to sell their products to us. We had a problem with the soffits to start with but this was remedied straight away. The fitters worked in appalling weather but got the job finished on time. Many thanks to all concerned. They fitted the windows quickly within 2 days with little mess, and generally we were pleased with the job at the time, however we did find half a window frame left down the side of the house for us to dispose of after the fitting.When we inspected the job, the window sill in the sitting room was wobbly and needed to be re-fixed. It was in Jan 2012 when the team descended on my home & started to excavate the back yard to accommodate our new conservatory, the weather was bad and there were lulls in operation due to freezing conditions. However, when the temperature rose a bit the guys started working on the project again. Dig out, footings in, brick walls up. “Very Poor Quality”

Door fitted was very poor quality. Centre panel was flimsy and was a completely different shade to rest of door. There was no centre strengthening bar which allowed the door to flex by over an inch (any more and it would split). The glazing seal is just silicone and is peeling from the door in only a couple of weeks - the leading on the glazing also has pips that are so sharp that daughter cut her hands badly. Very pleased with the A- Rated door which was provided and fitted by Carrington Windows to replace a single glazed lightweight wooden door to my house in Matlock, which leaked and let all the heat out. The Salesman was well mannered with no pressure tactics and guided me through the right choice for my house, not necessarily a top of the range product either.
