I arranged for a salesperson to come to my home via a promotional event outside a shop claiming a limited offer at trade prices. The gentleman was personable and I liked the windows but, though I was told many times I was under no pressure to buy, I was also reminded an equal number of times that it I didn't make an order on that day I wouldn't get the trade price in the offer and so I agreed to place an order. I handed over a cheque of £100 as deposit and the guy left leaving me with an uncomfortable feeling of having been pressurised into buying a product I would have liked to have been able to compare with others.
The cheque was cashed within 2 days, well within the cool off period within which I could cancel. I did send my written cancellation the day after.

It has now been around 7 weeks since then and I am yet to be refunded my deposit which, according to Citizen's advice, is well beyond the 2 weeks they are legally required to pay it within. I have been informed by the company that the delay has been because the director of the company has been unable to sign my refund cheque.

I feel any dealings I have had with this company show a lack of care for their customers and with this in mind I would not recommend them at all.
