Poor finishings.

We were convinced to purchase windows from CR smith by their talk of the quality of their windows and the high standard of finishing.

We were highly disappointed.

After the first visit the timber surrounds looked like they had been put together by a school child. The joins did not meet, there were large gaps filled with silicone. It was not a high standard at all. It is a pity that we cannot load photos to show their take on "high quality finish".

We asked to have someone back to fix all these issues and so on the second visit all they did was sand several pieces down and cover with some wood filler. The filler was several shades lighter and stuck out like a sore thumb.

We then had the team back again who took out the whole window timber frame and 5 hours later had it completed. Much better than the previous job but still with squint parts.

Then the decorator came back to varnish and fill in the holes.

He missed several parts on the bathroom window and must have been colour blind where the wood filler came in.

We asked for him to come back again and has now done most of the holes the same colour as the wood although there are still marks of a lighter colour.

After several visits from their team including 2 managers we have given up. Accepting them in their flawed state. It has been too much of a hassle every time, although the staff have always been polite, helpful and sympathetic.

I feel sick every time that I look at our windows. Very pretty at first glance but on further inspection do not give the amount of money we have spent on them justice.
