extra money in cash was demanded. roof leaked 12 months later. phone calls not returned. massive failure in customer service. flat roof cost me more in the long run than a full roof overhaul. made lots of promises didn't deliver. still counting the cost as ceiling bowed and cracked and needed to be replaced which they Anglo said they would assist with but didn't. Every other roofer that came to review job confirmed i was ripped off - the roof still sags and when it rains i have an ever growing swimming pool which surely burdens the roof and the ceiling meaning i need to find another £3K somewhere to put the whole thing straight. lost close to 2 weeks in time off work instead of the 2 days the job should have taken (that's more money) not to mention the countless sleepless nights and burden of worry. Anglo - you made a life a misery these last two years!
I'm writing this today as heavy rains sweeps across and i can smell wet plaster meaning water has got. My review may burden you but its nothing compared to the burden you left me with.

I am very sorry Mrs Patel you have had problems with your flat roof. I must point out you did purchase your property from a DIY enthusiast, you have had a number of issues in your home with the poor workmanship you inherited from the previous owner.
Your roof was built without an rsj which woul have been required for such a large roof. Anglo was contracted to fit a new light weight firestone rubber roof. When our fitters removed your existing leaking felt roof they advised you the roof was built incorrectly.
The fitters recommended a steel support was required but unfortunately you did not have the funds to pay for this. The fitters did charge a couple of hundred pounds for extra supports but to be fare to them they informed you it was not sufficient for the size of your roof.
If Anglo had been given the contract to replace the full roof this problem would not have occurred. It is frustrating for you but unfortunately this was not our fault.
Regards
Customer liaison department.

UPDATE: No such reparation has been forthcoming and no comments to use steel support was ever discussed. The fitter did eventually return to try and seal repeat joins on the patchwork rubber roof by overlaying a strip of more rubber on the worst joint ! It simply was not good enough. You contacted the reviewer to have my comments removed or have me prove I was a genuine customer, thus forcing you to write your comment. The roof was half off before an additional £590 in cash was demanded to continue. Absurdly you explained that the patch work rubber roof in different size sheets rather than one was more than sufficient covering despite this leading to obvious weak points and compromising the roof. Its now Jan 2021 and the roof still leaks, the ceiling displays water marks and cracks have now appeared in the walls because despite everything you say in your comments the job your company undertook was wholly sub-standard.
