A salesman came to give us an estimate for a bathroom window. He was very knowledgeable about his product but as he was only on commission wasn't too happy to have driven quite a distance for just a bathroom window.

We did buy his window but he almost told me where to go before agreeing to my price. He said the commission he would receive wouldn't pay for the cost of his petrol.

I felt very sorry for him but should I have been made to feel this way? I was simply a customer buying a product. We thought about cancelling this order but the thought of going through the hard sell again put us off that route. Needless to say, no other double glazing salesmen will ever darken our doors again.
