Went through all the rigmaroll and had a good salesman not at all pushy and we made him work for his sale. anyway, was totally happy with the fitters, they did a brilliant job with what they had and were quick and clean, but whilst watching them put windows in it seemed clear to me that several of the windows had been made too small for the holes even after the surveyors had been out to measure. But in the end the fitters made a good job and you can't tell. Had sliding patio doors fitted and after a week they wouldn't slide open, you had to physically lift the door and slide it as one of the retension bolts was catching and this has now been bent down, two weeks later got up and let the dogs out one morning to find the back door sill was cracked in two places. After a delay of 3 weeks, fitters came out and sorted the patio door, though the bolt still looks bent to me, they turned round and said they couldn't fix the door sill as they had been told it was the weather bar on the door and they don't carry sills on the van, they then said they would get the office to get back in touch. 2 weeks later and we have just received a letter saying t will cost £270approx to have a new door sill fitted. Now our last upvc door and sill and had been in for about 15 years and in that time it had been stood on by adults and even had a lawnmower lifted up over it and not a single mark on it. The new one had been in approx 2 weeks and cracked somehow overnight, without anyone doing anything to it. Going on the phone tomorrow to give them what for as sure as hell ain't paying £270 for severly inferior product quality. Do yourselves a favour folks and don ot use them, you will probably get a better deal and same quality if not better from your local upvc company.
