as a silver surfer with a previously functional TOSHIBA laptop which I dropped and broke the internet connection, advised by expert to buy a new machine, as replacing motherboard not worth it.
went to currys, a young salesman sold me this acer notebook, which is not only rubbbish in manyb respects but was pretty expensive to boot.
after less than a week i had problems, (bear in mind i do internet stuff and had no problems previously until i somersaulted my tosh!)
he sold me a norton disk but faailed to notice or point out that i could not load it because the mchine had no cd drive!
i have had loads of problems trying to make this silly expensive little computer do what i had before. without success, despite talking to my isp
(virgin) who have been more than helpful, and seem to know their onions!.
i will return this pile of poo to currys, i have the 'whatever happens' paper, and will let you know what happens later
