I recently bought a coffee machine from Currys online. The colour was not as described and I have been trying to arrange a return and refund. They don't provide a freephone telephone number, they don't provide an e-mail address and the website contact facility is useless. I contacted Currys three times via their website. The reply to my first message asking for a refund was a no-reply e-mail telling me my order was on its way!!?? The reply to my second message asking them to explain their reply to my first message was a no-reply e-mail telling me to phone them. My third message was a request for a freephone number, or the contact details for someone in management. I received no reply to this message at all, so I went into a Currys store to use their phone. I got apologies for my treatment and an assurance that the coffee machine would be collected the following Wednesday. Surprise, surprise; no-one turned up to collect the coffee machine, but I did get a no-reply e-mail saying "We’ve received your request to return your recent CURRYS purchase, and we’ll process it shortly. We will process and review your individual case. We will send you an email with an update on the status of your request." This was 10 days ago and I haven't heard from them since. I called my local council to ask to speak to Trading Standards and was told that they had received many calls from customers having problems with Currys.
