I purchased an expensive digital camera in a closing down sale the offer stated free camera case with the product. To cut a long story short they didn't offer the case when purchased. The whole comet experience was awful, staff completely uninterested in rude just wanted to get out of the store. Thought maybe that the case would come via Nikon but when called this was not the case. Apparently it was a store offer. Wrote to customer services, no reply in nearly 3 weeks so called them. They had received the letter but there was a backlog and they were getting to it. Same afternoon a useless customer services member of staff (Not sure if I can name and shame so won't) called back saying the camera was sold as seen and therefore nothing they could do. Throughout the conversation she must have made that same statement in excess of 15 times and little else. I think she must have thought I was a bit stupid. Couldn't offer much else. Asked for the name of the Director and the address and told it wouldn't make any difference because it would come through to the same dept who weren't prepared to help. I had to ask several times to obtain the name and address required. Will write again but not to the director because he RESIGNED yesterday due to poor performance. Interestingly the staff didn't appear to know
there were any problems within the company and gave me a different address to the whom I had previously written to. When I challenged her I was told the Director was moving office funnily enough to a new city to be with customer services. I don't think so!!!
I decided to write this review because Comet are the worst company I have had pleasure in dealing with. From other reviews it is clear there are no helpful customer services and in summing up, the Comet experience is one I wouldn't wish to try again. I wish I had read the reviews before I went shopping. I have learnt a lesson today.
