Bought a Samsung TV but after 30 days the screen developed a fault, Comet manager at Preston store no help at all, was told to go away and ring the 0871 helpline, when I asked if I could leave the TV to be checked by someone was told it could be a month before it would looked at, paid a high bill to ring the comet helpline and was then put through to Samsung who were very helpful and sent an engineer out the next day to fit a new screen. FULL MARKS TO SAMSUNG, MINUS MARKS FOR COMET who dont want you in the store unless you are spending money.

In my opinion Comet is absolutely rubbish! I had a similar experience with a washing machine and was told it was not their problem!!! I find it unacceptable that for something you buy New that comes with manufacturing faults you are offered a repair. in my view if something needs a repair within this very little amount of time then it is not worth the money paid for and therefore a replacement or a refund should be offered to a customer. My washing machine was only used in four occasions ... lesson learnt ... never ever buy from comet- they are NOT good!!!
