Oncall Delivery - Damaged Flooring

Vandals - I had a fridge freezer delivered and old one removed, the delivery guys accidently scored/scratched wooden floor which we only noticed when they left, they returned to view it within half an hour, I overheard them talk to base admitting it was deffinetaly them who caused damage, it was fresh scratches caused by them pushing wheeling the appliance in/out, they were then very apologetic to my husband and myself and I said not to worry because he told us that the company would deal with it and have it fixed, I had to make the phone call the next day only to find out that they had given a written statement saying it wasn't them who caused damage and that they carried both appliance, the damage probably caused by a side boad we moved five feet into the doorway of our lounge with towels under it to protect flooring lies lies lies, the guy I spoke with on the phone was very arrogant! Comet is sticking by the statement given by the men (which I think they where bullied into!!!!) and not prepared to sent anyone else out to see the damage caused to our flooring!!!! We moved the sideboard 5 feet straight into lounge doorway and the scoring/scratches runs roughly 20 feet from the front door swinging past a corner, 3 doors, along the hall, into the kitchen, over dining table rug, back onto kitchen flooring and into utility which is tilled. I said i wanted it repaired apose to replace but comet are doing NOTHING So it's okay for their employees to come into your home, and VANDALISING it and they will accept the word of employees rather than listen to customer or send out someone else other than the team who delivered to inspect! this is not the end of it because I will be taking this further and even to court or the judge if i have to and instead of asking for a repair I will now insist they replace the whole flood and fitting...........
