I have spent a fair amount of money with Comet over the years - no more! I bought a bracket for a new television at my local store, only to discover that it wasn't suitable for that particular TV. No worries - thought I - I'll just take it back, unused and unopened, for a 140 quid refund. Erm, no.... Comet have a new 7 day returns policy, after which they don't want to know. I tried to return the item on the eighth day! Okay, so I got no joy from the drone in the store who was merely following orders, but I thought I might get a little bit of sense out of their customer services. 'Fraid not! The guy simply didn't want to know and eventually just put me back through to the store, who still couldn't do anything for me. Finally, i wrote to head office, only to get a standard letter back saying sorry, blah blah blah, company policy, blah blah blah. So, for the sake of a lousy 140 quid they have annoyed me to the extent that I will NEVER shop there again. Way to go, guys. See you all at the Job Centre soon!

If you paid by credit card, start a dispute with the Credit card company straight away until they sort it
