“Terrible rude customer service”

Not a domestic appliance but i recently purchased a pair of Dr Dre Audio Beats headphones from my local comet store. After purchasing them I decided i wanted to return them and exchange them for a different pair. No problem I thought, alas no. Comet have a 7 day returns policy and it had been 9 days since i had bought the item. Fair enough, i was in breach of the policy but after explaining I returned the item as soon as I possibly could I was still told by the store manager that there is no flexibility on the policy, no good will, no nothing despite the fact i didnt want a refund, just an exchange. He told me to ring customer services and see if they could help, which I did. I can not tell you how rude the woman i spoke to was! I tried to explain my situation, thinking they would value customers, but no! She ended up telling me that it was my fault for not knowing there was only a 7 day return policy (not 28 day like most stores) and if i didnt like it, tough luck... she then just hung up the phone. I could not believe how rude she had been and how little value Comet place on good customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE IF YOU EXPECT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I can only agree. My colleague spoke to them after they failed to deliver in time and he said they were really rude. Then they gave me a new delivery time slot but I forget to give them a new contact number since I would not be available on that day. I called them again but never got to the point. The contempt in the voice of the call center person was unbearable. I told him so and he said he does not appreciate comments like that. "Comments", plural! Sounds like he is getting this frequently. Well, I hang up. I will never get involved with that lot again.
