My two dogs seem to get the poops with Iams not sure if its to rich. I changed food and all okay. Went back to just a few iams mixed with latest food and back to having loose poops again.

Bought this for my Yorkie and Minature Schnauzer. Gave the yorkie uncontrollable diarrhea and my schnauzer was gagging and wouldn’t touch the stuff after. My yorkie is potty trained and let’s us know when she has to go. This stuff made her so sick that she couldn’t even control it. Consistency was like mucus with blood as well as dark dark brown and liquified. Not sure if it was just a bad batch but I’m not taking the risk on this one seeing as how some people are complaining about how it put their dogs on their death beds. I’ll spend a little more money from now on just to be sure I don’t end up in this situation again. Very disappointed.

I've used iams dog food and cat food for years and years, and I've loved the food, but I just watched a commercial you created with the bulldog pulling a truck. Very disappointed in the fact that you supposedly care about dogs but you have a dog that isn't neutered and it's quite obvious in the picture ! If you truly care about dogs and cats, that dog should've been neutered as a promotion for spaying and neutering animals so that tens of thousands of poor pets aren't being put down every year in animal shelters!!! Please find a way to fix your commercial

You are reading WAY to much into stuff! Get a life, it’s a dog commercial. Get a grip!! And if you have time to complain you have way to much time on your hands!

This should be a review about the dog food, not your personal views on the spaying and neutering of dogs. Maybe it was an actual full bred breeding animal! Take it elsewhere. #Ingorance

Why on earth would you discontinue the grain free naturals farm raised chicken and peas item. Great product. Our dog loves it. Cannot find it anywhere. Any comparable item?

I’ve been feeding my dog Iams for years. He is a 10 year old Boston Terrier and he’s never had an issue with the food before, until now. I just opened up a new bag about 3 weeks ago and he developed a skin rash and blisters all over his belly and inner thighs. I started him on a topical cream, thinking it was just a rash that would go away with some time. I started to notice that it would flare up every night after he ate. I decided to switch his food, and within 48 hours (and no topical ointment) the rash is almost gone! I’m not sure if it was just a bad bag, but I am not going to run that risk and I am never giving him Iams again, especially after reading reviews about dogs getting diarrhea and becoming dehydrated.

My GSD female who was active and competing in Utility competition, ate IAMS Proactive Large breed dog food, for 10.2 yrs and when I opened the last bag (from the Nebraska plant) purchased from Costco...she developed diarrhea and vomiting. Went to the vet got medicines and I/D dog food... also called IAMS to see if any consumers reported vomiting and diarrhea...they said no, they had not had any calls. My dog was better for 2-3 weeks and blood tests came back good....Dr felt we could introduce dog food again.... I gradually mixed IAMS with the ID dog food and She developed diarrhea and vomiting a second time... so went to get more meds only to return home to find her dead. Called IAMS again and asked if any consumers had reported death, vomiting or diarrhea....they again said no. The IAMS company lied to me. One of the GSD club members directed me to the Consumer Affairs site....There were 651 complaints about the IAMS dog food with the same symptoms and deaths. The company lied to me not once, but twice. I am pursuing this matter.

We thought we were feeding my dog a healthy brand of dog food. Nope like one the review were‘s they said that their dogs had a bad case of diarrhea. It got so bad for her after only a few days she refused to eat she got the dehydrated because she’ll probably afraid that if she drank any water she would just have diarrhea and as of 10:30 this morning my dog is gone. And by 2:30 I had to bury her. She was a rescue dog we had our fights but over the last four years five months she became my fur baby. Now she’s gone. If you value your pets health don’t roll the dice on their life. And my dogs name was pepper.

I have a pit bull and a Yorkie and the Yorkie has always ate the Iams dog food. I noticed one day the Pit bull eating out of the Yorkies bowl. He liked the Iams better then his dog food so I switched him over to the Iams and I buy a big bag for both of them to share! I will not feed them anything but Iams I like because they have the small chuncks and big chunks! It also saves me money instead of buying two different bags I just buy the one big bag and it works out great! My fur babies love it and don't have to worry about the pit bull stealing all the Yorkies food now! They share the big bag and it lastest a while using the small chunks! I would definitely refer Iams to anyone!

I bought the puppy and junior food for larger breeds (orange bag), as I wanted to try an alternative brand. After 2 days my puppy developed excessive diarrhoea. I have switched him back to his old brand. Never buying iams again.

Worst Dog food! My uncle and I both fed our dogs Iams and both of our dogs had bloody diarrhea! My uncles dog was hospitalized and cost him over 800$ He fed his dog chicken and rice until he felt better and then gave him the Iams again and once again he was sick! Clearly it was the dog food. We changed brands and no more health problems! The Iams people should eat there own food!

In the past few months I have heard some "not-so-good" things about Iams Dog food amd I have been feeding my two dogs this food for several years. I would like some guanratees in regard to your dog food. It is not cheap and I go through a lot of food each month. I am seriously thinking about changing back to Eukanuba. Hope to hear from you soon.

14 week old boxer puppy developed diahhrea within hours after eating Iams proactive puppy food (orange bag). It was a new bag just purchased from local Walmart. Stools returned to normal after swittching to bland diet of rice and chicken. Diahhrea started again immediately after reintroducing Iams into diet. I took a stool sample to have checked by vet and she found excessive amounts of bacteria. Puppy was put on metronidazole and centrine meds. She is doing fine now, but I will never feed Iams again. I wish I had done my research on this company sooner rather than later! Truly does not rate even a 1-star rating!

I have a 9month Lurcher and he has a very very sensative tummy. What ever i feed him , it would just go striaght threw him causing alot of mess and an upset puppy. So i tried puppy iams small/medium breed. Hey presto, he is going to the toilet fine now and his coat is shiny and not flaky any more and he has oodles of energy... So thank you Iams.

I had used IAMS Weight control for my beloved pet for over 2-1/2 years. It was the vet formula. Yes, my guy did loose weight. For me it is a NIGHTMARE. I will never ever patronize IAMS again. My dog is terribly ill do to the food and contamination. This corporation has had 2 recalls on the products manufactured in 2007 and 2010. When I contacted IAMS they were rude and insensitive to say the least. I would discourage everyone from using IAMS dog food.
I encourage everyone to call 877-340-8823 to hear for themselves all the products recalled July 30, 2010 by IAMS AND EUKANUBA TO NAME A FEW- Proctor & Gamble manufactures these Dog Food Products -- then you can decide for yourself if you want to compromise your pets health by taking a CHANCE with IAMS or EUKANUBA! My dog is terribly ill due to the contamination found by the FDA at Proctor & Gamble who manufacture manu dog foods.
P & G claims it voluntary -- I ask how voluntary is it when the FDA advised them of the SAMONELLA in the dog food products AGAIN.
Once again GROSS incompetence from P&G has another dog food recall INJURING thousands of pets! I think we remember that recall in 2007 recall that once again P&G manufacturing was in the FOREFRONT of the various dog foods. They are the absolute worst in every way. Customer Service is horrible and they could care less as my numerous conversations clearly indicated and repeated lack of follow through by IAMS & Eukanuba.
I reported the incident to the FDA, BBB, States Attorney's Office as well as Consumer Affairs. I have 4 dogs (ages 4 month to 8 years)and all of them became very ill from IAMS dog food. All but one got better, that one is a therapy dog helping children and people now my poor dog has been hospitalized due to the GROSS INCOMPOTENCE of Proctor & Gamble Pet Distribution and Manufacturing Company.
BEWARE of the potential harm your beloved pet may end up against using IAMS EUKANUBA or any P&G Dog food that are manufactured by Proctor & Gamble. P & G did the same thing in 2007 and again in 2010. INNOCENT animals so ill and they give some lolly gag story that is all bologna.
I am sharing my experience in hopes it spares someone else from this heartache. My heart is crushed and I am worried beyond expression, we do not know if our beloved dog will pull threw. Severe ramifications need to be implement to prevent such harm due to such carelessness and REPEATEDLY P&G has done this.
I have chosen Wellness Dog Food for my other pups who recovered from the IAMS fiasco since it has an OUTSTANDING reputation and NEVER had the problems of contamination as IAMS, EUKANUBA and other P&G Dog food products have had.

My partner and I have bought Iams Junior Dog Food, for Large Dogs, chicken flavour, with probiotics for my Siberian Husky puppy whose digestive system is quite sensitive. Before giving this food to my pup, I've checked best before date and checked that there is nothing abnormal about food's look or smell. My pup's stool has been solid since (before he was fed with James Wellbeloved), and his coat is much shinier than before). Regarding the price, although it's not cheap, it's average for the food's quality.

Heres the Deal with Iams, I have a 3 year old 95 lb. WEIMARANER. Total Stud, super healthy and active, energy..ect.
He has been on Iams since he was a puppy. Anyhow i tried Blue buffalo thinking hey , I need to go healthier.., he immediatly started ripping some stink bombs, even with just a 1/4 mixed in with his Iams. Even if I try to be nice and mix in some ground turkey or meat with his Iams he starts ripping more bombs, brutal!
He is perfect with no weirdness at all with iams and some hot water. I give him a few chicken strips a day also, Good Doggy!!

I have a 7month old scottish terrier that at first was eating cheap kibble and bits dog food. We decided to switch her to Iams proactive mini chunks. After a day we noticed her stool becoming more and more softer. She had accidents in her kennel which had never happened before. Now its like poop soup in her kennel the girl sleeps in it. I woke up twice every night to scrub her kennel clean and give her a nice bath. The only thing that has changed was her food. I dont recommend Iams proactive mini chunks to anyone at this point. We are trying the Purina Beneful Healthy Weight now. Hopefully all returns to normal. We just wanted a more healthy dog food for her instead of kibble and bits.

My vet told me not to neuter my GSD until he’s 1 1/2 years old because of the growth plates on large puppies. You don’t know their reasons. So kick back girl. Maybe he’s a show dog or they got him for his traits.I neuter/spay/castrate all my animals. It’s really not my responsibility that ppl don’t. I got my puppy from a breeder, and I got him for certain traits shepherds have. I don’t want a mutt. And that’s my choice, it’s not my responsibility that ppl don’t spay there pets.
