Written on: 24/02/2015 by warrenjames (1 review written)

I picked charlie up at 10am yesterday morning and he is still sleeping now... He is a happy dog who has clearly been playing lots! Better still, he has come home bathed and dried, fantastic! He will be going back during April When. I have to go away again. Thanks for your help and care :) it's hard to review fully as the idea is that i'm not there to experience it but the dog is... However... I saw charlie on facebook, picture updates etc, I was in no doubt that he was being looked after well!… Read Full Review

Thank you for taking the time to review our service. Charlie was a pleasure to care for and absolutely loved to play with the other dogs.

Looking forward to having him back in April.

“The change in Ruby's behaviour.”

Written on: 22/02/2015 by Ruby2015 (1 review written)

We had arrived at a point with our rescue Staffie Cross where either Ruby became manageable or she would have to be re homed. She had become very reactive and aggressive towards other dogs and men. She also pulled very strongly on the lead. We had tried training classes and all sorts of leads and harnesses but the situation had become intolerable, walks had become a nightmare and we could not have friends or visitors to our house. Ruby was even reactive to us if we made a movement that she… Read Full Review

“My 3 dogs love staying at Royvon”

Written on: 17/02/2015 by MurleyCat (1 review written)

We put our three dogs into Royvon last year as I had to have several operations. We have an English Bulldog, a Beagle and an excited Border Terrier. Royvon was recommended by a friend and it more than lived up to the recommendation. The daily uploads to facebook reassure you that the dogs are having fun and when you are missing them it gives you something to look forward to, catching up on the day's activities. The staff are lovely and our dogs adore them, there are lots of cuddles. The dogs… Read Full Review

“Axel GSD's behaviour modification course!”

Written on: 30/11/2014 by Greenwood183 (1 review written)

My 13 month old 46 kilo gsd boy Axel was ruling the roost with us and other dogs. Within 3 weeks his manners have become impeccable and is walking to heel instead of dragging us down the road. With consistency hopefully this behaviour will continue. Thank you Royvon Coventry :)… Read Full Review

“Over 4 kilos lost in 3 weeks - AVOID AT ALL COST”

Written on: 27/11/2014 by RobHalesowen (1 review written)

The duty of care is disgusting, whilst the training may be ok Having collected our Boxer after 3 weeks, we have had to go straight the vets, She high a temperate and pneumonia! We are now awaiting blood tests to see if any further problems have been caused by their total lack of care! They didn't tell us anything about how ill she had been, surely they must have noticed, or just interested in taking your money and not looking after the dog! To say I am angry would be an understand, I am… Read Full Review

Darren James's Response to RobHalesowen's Review

There are many aspects of this situation which hasn't mentioned but I thought I would respond to the aspects that has been

The dogs name is Georgie and she did have an underlying condition which developed into pneumonia. While in our care she was under supervision for weight loss and various procedures were being adopted on a daily basis to deal with the loss in weight. Due to Georgie being so happy and showing her exuberence our team didn't feel that there was any problem with her health, as stated we were aware of the weight loss but were managing that problem.

Georgie departed on the Tuesday afternoon as she'd been on an obedience course for 3 weeks and the owner Mr. xxxxxx was very happy with the service and gave a considerable tip to the person responsible for Georgie's care and training.

Mr. xxxxxxx was aware of the weight loss on the Tuesday but there was no evidence of any underlying problem at that time. We did not think so neither did Mr. xxxxx and consequently Georgie wasn't taken to the vet on Tuesday or the Wednesday. Unfortunately Georgie's underlying problems then presented themselves and on the Thursday Georgie was taken to her vet for treatment.

We were all very pleased that Georgie recovered very quickly but the time that she was unwell was very difficult for all parties concerned.

I have personally dealt with this very unfortunate and very upsetting incident and have spoken on the telephone to Mr. xxxxxx over 15 times. The 1st time was within 2 hours of the complaint.

I am writing this comment now as the RSPCA that were involved by request of Mr. xxxxx has completed their full investigation by checking all systems of care, actual records of health, daily photographs that were taken of Georgie and interviewed the team members concerned. I am very pleased that the RSPCS inspector was completely happy with his findings which he shared with myself and Mr. xxxxx.

It is totally understandable that Mr. xxxxxx was angry and upset as his dog was unwell, I just wanted to write this comment so that the review had some balance.

We welcome visits at anytime during business hours for dog owners to visit, talk to us about our standards, see the accommodations and play area's and make a judgement for themselves if our facility is suitable for their dog.

“Excellent boarding and training package”

Written on: 23/09/2014 by TonyGrinham (1 review written)

We put our rather exuberant young man into the Coventry kennels and we are very happy to say that we found the positive comments we read prior to doing do to be true. He has come back a different dog, and using the skills that the trainer went through with us in the thorough handover has made taking him for a walk more of a pleasure than an 'experience'! The photos that were published online via Facebook also showed that the clearly had an enjoyable stay too!… Read Full Review

“Excellent dog boarding”

Written on: 21/08/2014 by Jaynecv (1 review written)

We have a 20 month old male Akita who has never settled in other kennels, and come home very under weight. We went to visit Royvon as we had heard good things about it. And were very impressed with the facilities and the obvious dedication of all the staff we met. We booked a complete training package and 30 days boarding, while we were out of the country. We were kept up to date with lots of pictures and up dates on how he was getting on. We used the pet taxi for him to be collected and bought… Read Full Review

“Got me out of a pickle.....”

Written on: 19/08/2014 by 121Ford (1 review written)

Had tried other recommendations but my GSD did not settle. Came across Royvon on Facebook and popped over to see them. Due to the short notice they managed to accommodate me taking their last available place. We didn't have time to try the 'try before you buy'. I didn't need to worry though our GSD had a great time. We had regular pictures on Facebook so were assured she was absolutely fine. They have a number of packages depending on the activity/exercise needed. The professional staff helped… Read Full Review

“Hugo loves it here!”

Written on: 21/07/2014 by EmmaRebeccaShiers (1 review written)

I have left my staffie Hugo at Royvon's on two occasions, both times Hugo has come home settled, happy and with no illness. Wen arriving he is happy to go to his 5* room and is not barking or agitated when I collect him. The regular updates on facebook are reassuring and it is lovely to see Hugo playing with other dogs and the staff. I would not leave Hugo anywhere else… Read Full Review

“care of your dog whilst left in the Royvon boarding...”

Written on: 15/07/2014 by RoyBrooks70 (1 review written)

The care and attention of your dog whilst in the care of Royvon is excellent and will certainly leave my dog while I am away again especially in the 5* suite that she was in. Every care and attention was given. Lots of playtime and love and care was given. You can go away with peace of mind knowing your dog is well cared for. Excellent… Read Full Review

“Couldn't have asked for more!”

Written on: 23/06/2014 by linseyrae99 (1 review written)

We looked at lots of boarding kennels and the 5* package at Royvon was what swayed it. Reg hasn't missed us at all and has slept since getting home - he's obviously had too much fun! You could tell he'd bonded with the staff and the Facebook updates really put our minds at ease - nothing but a smile on his face! We've already booked him to go back in for October half term. It's a relief to know we can go away without the worry of him being stressed. In fact, we don't think he wanted to come… Read Full Review

Oliver our Rottie went for the 3 week behavioural modification. Although he was already well trained, he needed socialising as he lunged at most dogs and some people on occasion and we could see that this could get worse if not dealt with. We had tried ourselves to understand/resolve it but decided it needed sorting by someone looking at it from another view. Oliver settled in really well and the updates we regularly received showed that he was settled and happy. He has come back a lot… Read Full Review

“Lottie's training.”

Written on: 25/03/2014 by Sprigglet (1 review written)

Lottie has returned home today after her three week stay for training at Royvon. I have noticed that she is a lot calmer and does as she is requested now. It really is a miracle! We still must keep up the work to ensure she continues to be well behaved, but the difference in 3 weeks is amazing. Thankyou to her trainer( she knows who I mean!!) and to the manager ( he knows who I mean!!) for taking such good care of her and sending her home smelling like a rose!!! Also a big thanks to the… Read Full Review

“Lottie's Boot Camp”

Written on: 14/03/2014 by Denise338 (1 review written)

Lottie is our 9 year old black Labrador who has been back home for nearly a week. She stayed for the 3 weeks residential training package. The staff worked really hard with her and the results are obvious. She walks to heel now and her sit, stay is 'almost' perfect. We need to work a bit longer on her recall but generally we are very pleased with how well Lottie was trained and cared for. Lottie, her bedding and toys were all washed for us, which I thought was a very nice touch… Read Full Review
