Indesit DI450 was pre-installed in my kitchen in a new-build flat. The dishwasher was fine for the first 18 months but then started tripping the electrics whilst on. On the next wash I then noticed an electrical crackling noise and burning smell whilst the dishwasher was on. I called Indesit who arranged an engineer visit. The seal on the rear of the dishwasher let water trickle out and leak onto the mains electricity supply during a wash causing the electricity to trip. The engineer deemed it so potentially dangerous he left it disconnected ready to be collected the following week. Electricity and water are a dangerous combination, so thankfully Indesit replaced it without any issues. Indesit advised that I would be covered by an additional 12 months house-builders warranty, on top of the standard 12 months - so it was replaced with a slightly newer model free of charge. After looking online at the prices of dishwashers there are some higher spec machines from more reliable manufacturers that come with 5 year warranties provided as standard that don't cost too much more. I'm just thankful that the extra warranty covered the replacement, otherwise I'd have to shell out over £250 for a new dishwasher!

I would like to have known before I purchased (but should have guessed) that you get what you pay for. Indesit manufacturing quality is not good - my DI450 machine broke down just outside the first 12 months which standard warranty covers. According to an independent engineer, the 'seal' had worn away (this should last the lifetime of the machine - 6-8 years) which caused my machine and kitchen to flood, and the motor to short circuit - needing replacement.
Indesit customer service is even worse. It took four visits including cancellations (causing me to take 3 days' holiday from work because they cannot give you an appointment time) for them to fix my machine. And I was charged £75 for the privilege - a 'good will' discount on the standard £105 repair charge, plus treated to a year's supply of (unwanted) limescaler remover, some fairly aggressive tactics to get me to extend my warranty and a lot of grief from the laughably entitled 'customer care' team.
Do not give Indesit your money. Spend a bit more now to save (money, hairloss, sanity) later, and do not entertain the thought of an Indesit machine. Indesit are cowboys.

It's never been the best dishwasher - the dishes are often still wet when they come out of the dishwasher.
Eight months after purchase the dishwasher breaks down and 2 months of calls and visits frok Indesit [prove pointless. from trying to sell me limescale removing tablets to claiming it's fine' the dishwasher isn't working & eventually the repair guy claims it needs a new part. When he arrives with the part, he claims it also needs another part and will have to coem back again at some point for that repair.
