Just rejoining sky after leaving 2 years ago for Virgin (which was much much better). Moved to an area where Virgin was not an option. Engineer showed up who was incompetent and couldn't figure out how to plug in a sky box. Claimed I needed an adapter, so suspended the installation until I provided an adapter. I asked him to leave the cable box as I thought this was an easy fix but was told that he couldn't do that as he would not get paid unless he completed the installation (if I plugged in the box and didn't need him to return he would not get paid). It was all about the SKY employees, not the customer. I went to a local shop with pictures of my wall plugs/ connections. He explained it in 30 seconds and sold me a cable that he says SKY should provide for free. (his shop is an authorised SKY dealer). I called sky back and told them that I did not need an adapter and that their engineer was not qualified. They offered me a new appointment a week from now claiming that was the earliest they could send out an engineer. I've asked them to just drop off the box or tell me where I can pick it up. The people on the phone are like robots..."I'm sorry sir the only time we have is the 19th." "I'm sorry sir, the only time we have is the 19th". Can I speak to a supervisor? "What do you want to ask them sir? They cannot tell you anything that I have not told you."
If you have a choice, avoid this company at all costs. They do not care about customers...only your £££!! I will switch as soon as there is an alternative to these bandits.
