With a Zeiss lens, a good zoom range and micro/macro (whatever you want to call ultracloseup) making nice sized images ideal for internet use and up to 8X10 quality prints...this camera is serving me VERY well in shooting assignments where silent operation is important (classical music concerts, recitals, meetings. Color interpretation is fine..lots of bells and whistles..and build quality is superb. Light too. I have all the great cameras and have been shooting pro since 1969. This is a workhorse with a definite and permanent spot in my assignment gear. By the way, the flash is very powerful for a little camera..and will do most home rooms, and small meeting meeting rooms very well. I have not tried sports yet...Lag is present keep that in mind. When I test the sports aspect, I will check back and fill you in on that aspect.
I like this little rascal...and that Zeiss lens holds it "sharpness" to the end of the zoom range. The electronic finder stands in great in bright light where the LCD screen is, like all lcd screens, tough to see.
