Have had the Canon EOS D30 since January and I am pleased with it, I had the 400D for a short while and did not like the results I got, but this is a much better camera.
Still a lot to get used to to get the best from the camera, but already have had some excellent pictures.

As a Canon user I am pleased with this replacement for the 50E, though the camera does not feel as hardy as the film-eater.

For those wanting 1600 ASA the Canon D30 digital camera is a better, and cheaper choice that the newer Canon D60. Produces excellent crisp images using the Canon range of ES lenses.

I love this camera. It's a top of the range SLR camera with all the manual and automatic features you would expect from such. It just happens to also be digital.
You can shoot a hundred shots and not worry that only one or two are any good. I figure that the saving in film and developing, not counting enlargements, will pay for the added cost of the camera after about 9000 shots (or 180 good shots).
I admit that because of the digital aspect, you wont be able to print an image much over A3, but even at A1 size you won't be able to tell from less than a foot.
Again, I LOVE THIS CAMERA
