This is my second time using Tesco Diets to lose weight. I lost 1 1/2 stone last time, and have lost the same amount of weight since June this year. There are a wide range of meal plans to follow, with the added function of meal exclusions - if you are allergic to certain foods, such as wheat or milk intolerance, or are simply very fussy, like me, it is easy to tailor the meal plan to your personal requirements.
One of the great pluses of the diet is the meal plan itself. Each meal is broken down into its constituent ingredients, with their calorific values available. Each one can be altered to show the exact content of each meal, with a track meal function so that you can keep a close eye on the foods - good and naughty that you've eaten that week. The ingredients on the plan can also be added to a list for ease of shopping.
There are also additional options to join the recipe and fitness clubs.
Technically it's excellent, but the greatest aspect of the diet for me is the support system in place. There are forums and support circles where you can chat with others who are also following diets, a live chat and question section for the mentors, and best of all, a personal email service. Each week, when you weigh in, there is journal space available for you to enter your comments on your progress. if you choose, a mentor can email you a response. This is my favourite part of the diet. There's no humiliating standing on scales in a room full of people, just a discreet pop onto your scales at home. The emails I have received from the mentors are always warm and encouraging. When I feel discouraged, their comments are enough to keep me going, one pound at a time.
I use Clubcard vouchers to pay for my diet membership, which is even better value for a an already excellent service.
