Helped me set a realistic target weight & stick to daily calories & importantly get back on track when you occasionally slide off. Steady weight loss is the key. There is little information about eating out , this could be widened to include more restaurant chains. The forums do have some good advice but some times there is some ridiculous comments mainly about types of food , usually obscure, that help / don't help weight loss. This then gets comments & can get very personal & negative , this needs to be monitored better.
The only way to lose weight is to restrict calories to sensible & realistic level & exercise . Nutacheck does this . I have at least another stone to lose & know I will with your support .

Although NUTRACHECK is a good site, I agree with your comments regarding the forum, although the majority of members on here are helpful and supportive, there is, as you mentioned, some very odd advice being given out, there appears to be an 'inner circle' of 'long termers' who impart 'words of wisdom' and although some of it is encouraging and supportive I can't help thinking that some of these unofficial 'gurus' should be regulated, Customer Services are efficient and quick to respond to enquiries and issues but I think they should be more proactive in monitoring the site itself rather than relying on members to do so.

The community is for members to chat and get encouragement, so we consciously try to hold back on getting drawn into too many discussions to avoid taking over. Often members have great tips and sensible advice for each other that we can't top. That said, we're always very happy to comment if asked, and will intervene when we feel it necessary.
