“Go Lower - Food Intolerant Nightmare Company”

I joined the Go Lower Programme with high hopes. I explained to one lady that I was a Coeliac and was therefore intolerant to Wheat,Barley Rye and Oats, and she assured me that all the products they would send to me would be Gluten Free. The first few weeks I thought it was going well, I lost about 10lbs, but started to feel bloated and quite ill, even though I knew I hadn't had any gluten. or had I??? I then started to look at the product ingredients more closely and realised that some of the products had Gluten in them. I called several times to ask why they were sending me products with oats in and spoke to several people, eventually a woman whom claiming to be a nutritionist assured me that oats were quite suitable for a gluten free diet. At this stage, knowing better, I started to panic, they obviously didn't have a clue about the dangers of food intolerances. I made several telephone calls asking to speak to the Managing Director or anyone in charge.
I eventually managed to get hold of their Production Manager who gave me a whole spiel about their desire to have good customer service blah blah, however, when I asked for a refund for some of the foods that I had sent back she assured me she would look into it, and as way on compensation she would send me a box of food for a week, and definitely call me the following week to see how I was getting on. The box arrived, and what a surprise, a third of the products had wheat it in. and guess what, I never received by refund and also the woman never rang me back. Bottom line, poor customer service, no idea about food intolerances, and not fond of parting with their money for refunds. I joined weight watchers and lost the 2 stone in just over 10 weeks. Beware
