Okay, so the idea of being able to loose as much as 8pounds in one week got me hook line and sinker with the Cambridge Diet.
Today is my first day of trying the diet and for breakfast I started with the Maple and Pecan flavour Porridge - it smelt lovely in the microwave BUT when I took it out to stir the armomas changed for the worse, still I tried it. I took one spoonfull and then left the rest on the kitchen side, 'Id rather be hungry than eat that' are my thoughts. Anyway putting this down to just taste preference I still tried the Banana milkshake for Lunch - Vile! I dabbled with a few sips to see if I could get my taste buds to conform to the taste but it was too unbearable. And really I am not a fussy eater - I love areoplane food! Still hungry I tried to mix a soup together...and now at 12:50pm on my first day of the Cambridge healthy eating plan I am withdrawing and eating vegetables and homemade soup.
Honestly and factually you can still achieve the very same results from eating heinz soups and fat free milkshakes for a week.

oh the very same has just happened to me. i started it yesterday morning with the very same maple and pecan porridge thinkng it would be lovely cos it did smell it, i was heaving with every mouthful and left half of it. at lunchtime i tried the cappucino shake and just managed to swallow it down. I dreaded the next shake so much and at this point felt very upset as I had just laid out £42 on shakes for the week. I don't know whether to carry on if all the shakes are inedible. I thought they would be easy and enjoyable but i am sure i won't find one i like! I felt miserable all da worrying about whether i could continue so am waiting to speak to my friend who lost at least 3 stone on this plan to see how she managed.

I absolutely LOVE the vanilla cream shake. It sounds from your comments, and the one from Keeleywest's that you were looking for "something so yummy you would not think you were dieting," so went for the fancier flavors. But this vanilla cream tastes, my 10-year-old granddaughter says, "like melted ice cream.

It won't work as well. Firstly you won't get into ketosis by eating Heinz soup and milkshakes and secondly the food packs from Cambridge are nutritionally complete so you know you are getting all your nutrients. As long as you can eat them of course. I really like the shakes, especially chocolate and fruits of the forest but it's obviously all down to personal taste
