I recently bought a child's plastic microwave and was shocked to discover leaking batteries in the battery compartment. After emailing head office it took 6 weeks for them to get in touch to simply tell me to return the item, no apology just a snotty enquiry as to whether I had proof of purchase which I had emailed to them 3 times!!!! I was asked for my address so a letter of apology could be sent out but a week on still nothing. It took going into the store and the store manager calling to elicit a response.when I asked the customer service representative if they had policies in place to ensure this didn't happen again all I got was 'of course we have policies'. Two months on and the product is still on the shelf with no warning signs or new procedures to check the batteries before sale. Absolutely disgusted with the poor standards of care received from the so called customer service department and will now be forwarding my complaints to trading standards.
