I have shopped in M&S for as long as I remember but what a disappointment it is now looking around the ladies clothing department. Why on earth don't you just ask the public what they want. Looking at the reviews, most of them are from older ladies but do you actually cater for them other than the OLD LADIES CLASSIC SECTION which is far too old fashioned for me although I suppose I do fit into the age group that it is intended for. Over and over again you hear people say 'Who on earth buys these items'. Just listen to what we want and then you would not have a need for all these sales. What I needed this summer was sundresses, just dresses in a nice cotton material with no fussy bits just a plain style with round neck and no sleeves and a length to the knee. Please supply these and you will see that they will fly out of your store. Also it would have been nice to see some summery skirts and tops. What has happened to the tops? I have wanted some plain ones but the length is all wrong, I have even heard of people having plain T shirts professionally shortened. I know the younger generation are a lot taller than us but please cater for the age group that have always bought from your store my grandchildren would not even consider shopping in M&S and they would not be able to afford to. Please go back to the days when choosing was a pleasure, I walk into your stores now and cannot find anything I would want and I remember the days when it was hard to choose as there were so may nice things. Put someone into all of your stores to ask people what they want and get their opinions and I'm sure this would help when deciding to supply what the public want. You have got it so wrong for so many years now it would be sad to see a further decline. I expect what is propping things up is the success of the food halls.
