“children not allowed in changing room”

Written on: 05/08/2012

i went into my local marks and spencers yesterday to get my son (aged 5)some trousers. we went to the changing rooms where i was told i wasnt allowed in with him. i asked why and was told it was store policy. i said i needed to help him in them and check they fit. i was told to go to a curtained area in the childrens department. this turned out to be a tiny shabby area right in the back corner of the store and we had to wait ages. My son didnt want to change in front of the shoppers so we waited. after this i was in the changing area trying bras on and i could hear children in with their mum so doesnt seem like one rule for all. i have written and complained through their website and im waiting for a reply. i will go elsewhere for childrens clothes in the future.
