I ordered an item of clothing online which showed as available. I paid extra for next day delivery - Total £68. The money went from my bank. The next day I had an email to say the item was not available and I was being refunded but it would take 10 days. This money was to buy a birthday present for a birthday in a few days and now my money was gone and I would not get it back in time for the birthday.
Customer Services responded to my complaint saying there had been a high demand for the item. No mention that the system said it was available and order should not be able to go through if it was not. No response that I needed that money for a present and now I would not get it back in time. A second email response said that maybe the available item was damaged and re the refund, it can take 14 days but is often quicker. They then sent a voucher for £7 that can only be used online for House of Fraser purchases. What use is that - I could probably find a discount voucher worth the same and will certainly not be shopping there again anyway. Totally unimpressed!!
