Bought table & 4 chairs in January. 1 chair leg faulty - unable to assemble due to missing part. 5 phone calls, 2 emails and 3 months later, chair is still in pieces in my dining room. Debenhams have provided 3 seperate dates of the 'expected' delivery of a replacement leg from manufacturer. The latest date was 4th April. Had to ring again on 17th April to find out why I still haven't received the part. Have, once again, been promised somebody will get back to me (by the end of the week!)
My complaints have been met by Debenhams' staff kindly offering me the 'option' of ordering (and paying for) a replacement pair of chairs, returning the defective pair and then waiting for a refund to be processed...as far as I'm concerned, that's not 'customer service', that's just re-ordering the product!!!
Will never purchase anything else from Debenhams again.
