I can only echo the other reviews. I purchased this back in 2008 to replace a prem-i-air (non-compressor dessicant) dehumidifier that had broken down. At that time there weren’t many reviews of this machine and I couldn’t afford the Mitsubishi equivalent (extra £80) at the time, which was reviewed as class leading.
It did look great, but that’s where it all went wrong. The performance of the machine was not great and the noise seemed excessive. As other reviewers have mentioned, the pump failed leading to a very wet carpet, not once, but 3 times now. Fortunately at the time they were giving a free 5year warranty (heaven knows how the company make money) so it went back for repair everytime. I asked the customer service people if this was normal and they seem rather blasé about it all. However after the last time, when it was returned faulty I gave up with it and have written it off as a bad purchase. Since then I have got a new dehumidifier (Mitsubishi) as can’t believe how long I have lived with the noise of the Ebac 6200.
