I bought the DeLonghi Slim Compact 12l Dehumidifier for our loft room where we inevitably hang up our washing to dry. I was concerned that we were creating a damp room which would come back to haunt us so looked into these products. I was interested to learn that a dehumidifier not only keeps the moisture down in the room to the benefit of your building, but also speeds up the process of drying clothes as it literally sucks the water out of the air and thus the clothes.
