The initial purchase was a good experience. After that it was a nightmare.
I tried setting up the online account - no success at all. First it would not recognize the term driver's license - the rep on the phone said their system used c in the spelling and although it required the ', their system would not accept it.
Then the online system just would not go past a "system access unavailable screen" . Apparently some sort of It problem the SECOND rep was unable to correct.
Then- I find out you cannot actually load money online - even though that is a feature they used to get me to get the card in the first place. so I then tried to get them to add from my credit card. Two calls from the rep to get more information and I still do not have the money on the card.

Far more trouble than it is worth. I spend more time and roaming fees than I could possibly have saved using this "convenient" solution.

The reps are all very friendly and polite - they just have a crappy product.

I have not used any Travelex products since being badly ripped off at the airport twice. You'd have to be a looney to get your forex from this group. Either use your credit card or better still open a bank account in the destination country and use one of the many forex dealers to transfer funds. Cost around half a percent plus a fee of around $15. The only way to go. Of course if you intend visiting more than 1 country it doesn't work.
