I took a 5 day subscription on the 5th and cancelled on the 10th - mainly because I felt the site was falsely advertising, most of the matches were builders or supermarket workers (not really the uniform I had in mind) only to receive a further month subsription charged to my account. When I called them they advised that they processed the payment before I called on the 10th so would not refund it.

I do not remember being advised that I had entered into an ongoing subscription, but even so cancelled the subscription on day five but the advisor and supervisor at Uniformdating refused to refund the payment.

I have since spoken to my bank who have recalled the money and opened an investigation. Anyone joining the site please be aware of the additional subscription you are entering into

Hi Guest,

I am sorry to hear you were not aware of recurring billing. This is stated on the payment page, within the terms and conditions and also within the confirmation Email you would have received upon making your initial payment.

I apologise for the fact that you had not cancelled your subscription before the renewal date and therefore paid £19.99 for a months membership. It is stated on the site that : All subscriptions are periodically calculated by calendar date.

As you have stated that you upgraded on the 5th this means your 5 days would have been the 5th,6th,7th, 8thand 9th . The 10th would have been the 6th day and therfore the renewal date. Giving notice of your cancellation will not affect charges submitted before Uniform Dating UK could reasonably act to cancel your subscription.

As you did not call before your renewal date our team members could not cancel the payment that had already been sent to us.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. We would advise that all members creating a subscription do read our terms and conditions before agreeing to them, as these do fully inform members of recurring billing.

They do not hide the fact it is a subscription. It says it in big letters, tells you on emails and there are notices all over the page. I came on here to leave a good review for a very good site that has helped me find my boyfriend and it seems a shame that people are giving 1 star because they never read what they were clicking on.

**BEWARE OF THIS INTERNET COMPANY - TAKE MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT WHEN YOU THINK YOU ONLY PAY FOR 1 MONTH SUBSCRIPTION!!**

I too have been scammed by this one man band company. The website was not compatible to my browser and I wrote to inform them of my disappointment and yet they had the audacity to continue to take £19.99 out of my bank account! When I spoke to "Sam" she point blankly refused to credit me even though I hadnt used the website for a month!!! UNBELEIVABLE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE....BEWARE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!
