Tragic & unbelievable

I'm a woman. This morning I logged onto IE for the first time since I was a member in 2010 and there are loads of the same men on the site, so I'm thinking they must have signed up to the lifetime membership if that exists or they are desperate, weird, obsessed, very lonely etc. I can't believe I was ever into this stuff. As a woman in a sexless marriage you are yourself in a tragic and desperate situation and also vulnerable. With only your gut feeling to go on, you enter into possibly dangerous meetings with total strangers in the vague hope of feeling wanted. This is madness people, for everyone, surely? It was time consuming, stressful, brought up huge feelings of guilt and ultimately resulted in very little satisfaction. I did meet a few genuine types, but then when I see their profiles alive and active after 5 years away... well, you gotta wonder what's going on. I'd say give this whole malarkey a wide berth. Accept the situation at home or leave. The idea of an easy affair is a mirage and not facing your true problems. I feel for anyone in the situation but truly, this is a bad bad idea! x
